17835094_1247296558699907_3609042939279822105_oHave you ever began reading a book because it had been recommended to you, and then you get into it and you find that it is set near your home town. The Lake of Dreams is a fictional place on the shore of one un-named finger lake in up-state New York, and in Rochester my home town. Lucy has been living abroad since the death of her father, but currently she is between jobs and when her mother is in a car accident she decides this is a good time to go home for a visit. While she is there she finds some old papers hidden in a built in bench in the attic that reveals a long lost great aunt that no one knows about. She then begins to unravel the mystery and in the process come to grips with the unresolved issues of her father’s death.
