A wonderful sequel to Dreamer’s Pool, where Blackthorn and Grim are asked to travel to a distant land to break a curse in which every 50 years a monster screams all day, every day, for two years. They are there to help the Lady Geileis who is being less than truthful about how the curse began, how to break it, how the fey folk are involved and what the repercussions are if you break the curse. This plot is interwoven with a chance meeting with an old friend from her childhood who is hoping to help her destroy her own demons. The book is full of intrigue, deception and the overcoming of the past. This book is a must read, but first read book one to understand all it has to offer.
