As a series progresses, the characters become older, get married, have children, have grandchildren, until there are so many characters to keep track of. Now don’t get me wrong, I love this series based on the Last of the Mohicans, but you must go into this book with some moxi. I love the way the many generations interact with one another; although their lives and problems i.e. plot lines don’t seem to have much to do with one another. Only when the problems of the few become so great for them to handle does the previous generation step in to make sure the family is safe and the day is saved. So, if you are a person who does not mind when you are ripped away from one generations plot that you are loving and taken to another when you are dying to know what is happening, then you get hooked on this new plot only to be ripped away to another plot or back to the first, (see why this is frustrating) this maybe a good book for you.
